All That Glitters!

Good Evening Chickees!

After spending hours scraping rubber backed carpet from the stairs that the previous owner was too lazy to do before putting down laminate flooring, (smells like rotten feet!), I decided to check what this weeks requirements were for The Outlawz CAS Sunday Challenge.   This week we are to use our favourite paper and even though I have a huge selection of different faves... my ultimate is glitter paper!  I have sheets of it in the rolling cabinet and they are sooo pretty that I always tend to save them for something special.  Well... after two years of sitting on them I decided to USE them!  Also, I used a shimmer paper for the background that I've been saving as well.  Anxiety pains are happening.. what will I do now that I've taken a chunk out of each??!!

This was an easy card to make.  I brought out the Spellbinder ornaments dies and found that they cut through that thick paper with ease.  I found some CB edge folders that I haven't used so tried them on the ornaments.  The lighter ones show nicely but the larger one can be seen with that trusty old magnifying glass!  Pop dots in two thicknesses (sp?) lifted them up for more definition.  CAS cards shouldn't have too much on them but they looked so boring flat against the background.  Last was a jellyroll pen to draw in the ornament wires because my gold thread is MIA.

Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a wonderful work week!

Hugs,
Sheree

Love the simplicity & the ornaments are so pretty with the added glitter paper! Now you will have an excuse to buy more paper! I've given up making up excuses, I just buy it!

Sheree, I've already commented on this card over at the Outlawz, but I had to come check out your beautifl blog. WOW you do a gorgeous job on those landscape stamps. I'm afraid to even try one. I've been looking over your blog and now follow in hopes that I can pick up some nice tips and tricks from you. You are a very talented lady. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Donna PS. Just a note, I've been transforming my year for 5 years now and I'm still not finished. LOL Hang in there.

Hi there Sheree I have been MIA too am going to get back to it soon really I am - and wow your little side post on the top of your blog is awesome - thanks so much, dear kind friend across the seas!!
oh and have someone for you to send a card too will, God willing, do an email up with the deets for you in a day or so - when the world slows down enough for me to catch up! ever feel that way?

And yes love this card too, with its clever little deatils and so smiled at your hating to use these very fav. papers - if they are patterned ones I love, then I scan them and make them into digi papers that way have them forever or really far longer than otherwise, never really forever! God bless, love Shaz in oz.x

I just love the glittered ornament that shines on this card! It certainly must have been easier to create than removing the stair treads!! What a job!

Stunning card! I love the teal colors and the little embossing you did on the smaller ornaments is icing.
