The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge

Happy Sunday Girlz!

Its hard to believe that the weekend is almost over..Our one day off went by so quickly.

Over at The Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge, the theme is to have stitching on your card whether it be drawn, sewn by machine or sewn any other way.

The sponsor for this weeks challenge is Bugaboo Stamps and I chose to use Bunny Blocks - Mini Set  This set comes with seven bunny images.  I resized six of them to 1 1/4 inch for my punch and also for a quilt layout.  They are coloured with Copics and after taking the photo I decided to add a touch of stickles to their noses.

The colours are actually quite bright IRL.  The sentiment was typed out on the computer

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Dots, Chicks, Dots, Chicks, Dots!

Good Evening Chicks!

I picked up this stamp a couple of weeks ago and decided to play with it tonight.  The lighting is terrible in the evenings but will have to do.

This is my interpretation of the sketch over at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  There should be three things along the bottom and I'm counting the two brads and the sentiment in the middle as the other.  Guess I'm just a rebel at heart...like my friend Gail!!

Here is a closeup so you can see the stickles on the bunny ears...

Here's the recipe...

Stamp:  Stampendous! V164 Chickie hop from the Calendar Chicks collection
Sentiment:  Penny Black
Paper:  Little yellow Bicycle, Staples 110 lb. white and unknown
Fiskars punch
Ribbon - Offray from Michaels bargain bin
Copics
Diamond Stickles (I should have done fur on the ears but thought about it too late
Brads with Stickles on top
Pop Dots

Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a wonderful evening!

Hugs,
Sheree

Hoppity Easter!

Good Afternoon Chicks!
I worked on this Friday night but this is the first chance I've had to post it.  I bought the stamp from Michelle's Scrapbooking and More a while ago and decided to give it a whirl.
First off I stamped the scene with Distress Walnut Stain as black was too harsh.  Then, coloured the scene with copics.  I hadn't intended to colour as much as I did so I'll try my other idea later on!  When using the Sketch Copics on this I didn't take my time.  Using the brush tip I just started putting colour here and there with large swoops (is that a word?) so it wouldn't look perfect.  That's what I acheived as well.  Actually, my eyes seem to be getting worse all the time and colouring like this is so much easier and I can actually justify my actions haha!  Kind of looks like the colouring on floral greeting cards... the artistic kind.. Not by Hallmark printers!
Once I finished colouring I distressed with Distress Frayed Burlap and blended it into the scene.  Lastly, I used Distress Walnut Stain to darken the edges and blended that in half as far as the Burlap.
I was flipping through my Cricut Carts and found a flourish type of leafy corner on Storybook so cut that out in white and green.  They were both distress with Walnut Stain as well.

The recipe is....
Stamp - Northwoods Rubber Stamps Inc.
Papers - Recollections and dp is unknown
Inks - Distress Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap
Copics
Ribbon - Michaels cheapie bin
Paper Flower - Dollarama (I haven't found them there in a year but am hoping they get more in)
Stickles - Light Pink on tulips

Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Sheree
p.s.  I thought of this before my head exploded Gail L.!

Happy Easter

Hi Everyone!
Gee, here it is Friday night once again and it's looking like I don't have a life! Au Contrair (sp?)... I've got all my Blogland friends!!

This card is my entry into the Sketches With Heart #2 challenge at Heart Song Inspirations. I apologize to all the lovely girls there that I'm not using one of their digi images for my card!! I'm new to digi's and although I could download the file there was no way I was able to open it....so... When I have a few minutes this weekend I'll do some researching on the net as to what program I should use, etc. Until then.... I'm so sorry!

The stamp used was from Elzybells Art Stamps #E0085 Chick Trio. The dp's are from SEI and Keepin' It Real by Amy Hurley. I've been trying to use bits and pieces of my stash to fill in the rest. Ribbon is from WalMart and I made the glue dots myself in two sizes.  The circle and circle border were cut on the Cricut.

Yes, the image is kind of small for the sketch but I went through everything I had that was Easterish and it was either too big, or too small. Now it sounds like I'm talking about the three bears! I started putting it together last Sunday after seeing what our sketch for the week was.  This was one of those cards where you put it in a spot you'll see it a lot and you keep thinking... It's okay, It looks like heck, It looks spectacular, It needs a whole lot of something! These were only thoughts as I knew if I were to say them outloud for a few days people would wonder if I'm on 'crack!' The finished product was acheived after dinner tonight. I kept adding glue dots to fill in and make up for the small image. It's not my favourite but I made the deadline!

I can hardly wait to see the sketch for next week so I can find my mojo and brain cells that seemed to get away from me for the last 10 days.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
