First Grandbaby Has Arrived!

Evening Girlz!

Just a quick post tonight.  Terrys son and wife had a baby girl this morning.. Livia River.  Not sure where the middle name River came from but I will get used to it!  She has ten fingers and ten toes so that means she is perfect!

I made this card last night while they were with the midwife at the hospital.  I wanted something to put a bit of money for take out food one nigfht when she is too tired to cook.  Up here, you are sent home within hours of having the baby if there are no complications.  Go figure.

I used the Cricut for most of the card..

This is the inside..

The recipe is..

Sentiments - Stamping Bella, Stampin Up
Cricut - George and Newborn
Papers - Recollections and .. Little Yellow Bicycle - Hello Spring
Inks - Distress Walnut, VersaFine
Embossing Powder - Zing red (it ends up being purple!)
Stars - Dollarama

Thanks for looking!

Baby On The Way!

I'm back again!  Terry's  oldest son and his wife are expecting their first child in January.  Yes, its a girl!

One thing I have been busy with is doing a baby quilt that can hang on the wall in the nursery.  Here is the finished product...

I am trying to get a copy of a photo that really shows the beautiful pinks and mint greens.  I made the shower cards to go with all of the gifts from the C.River gang.  They are...

This card was done using my Cricut.  It wasn't a card pattern and I had to do many layers to make it turn out and stand up!

I cut many of the pieces for this one using the Cricut as well. I CASEd a card I saw on Pinterest (I love Pinterest!)  and it originated from the Just Rite stamp site.  I changed it up a wee bit.

I used left over pieces of paper to do this one and stitched them together.  The block letters are from the Cricut as well.

Thats it for tonight... naaaa.. I will do one more!  See you on the flip side!

Huggzz...

Outlawz Color Challenge - 03/13/2012

I finally have my entry for the Outlawz Color Challenge  The colors to be used this week are as follows along with a twist!:

I actually thought of this card during the wild storm and aftermath this past week.  It was soooo nice to be able to sit down and put something together again!

The stars were done with Sookwang tape and a Fiskars star punch along with opaque white glitter.  My sleeping teddy is a stamp that came with a bunch of odds and ends I purchased off of eBay one year ago.  I coloured him twice and layered the head and front paws for a dimensional effect.

The ribbon is from WalMart, the blue plaid paper is Stampin' Up! from my stash and I used a Martha Stewart star border punch.  The stitching is all uneven because I made the mistake of gluing the stars on before I zig-zagg'd around the edges.  Oops... better luck next time!  That little blue hand is actually a metal brad and the sentiment from Stamping Bella.

Here is a close up photo of the bear...

There you have it!  Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Sheree
