More Penny Black - CAS Card

These daisies are from the new Penny Black set called 'Flower Gallery' which I purchased at Crafty Capers in Nanaimo.  This is the second stamp that I've played with.  They did look like daisies until the Stickles made the stamp ink run a bit.  Now they have a Christmas look to them haha!

I stamped the daisies twice and coloured both.  The upper petals of both flowers were cut out and then popped up with pop dots.  I used Stickes to highlight parts of the petals and coloured the image with Copics.  After playing with the layout for a while I finally decided on something fairly simple without a sentiment.  I can stamp something inside once I figure out what to use it for!

This closeup shot shows which petals I cut out to pop up.  You also have a better view of the ink that ran!  They almost look like the white pointsettias you can buy in December!

Here's the recipe for this card....

Stamps:
Penny Black - Flower Gallery
Ink:  Stampin' Up!
Copics
Stickles:
Sunshine Yellow & Diamond
Embossing Folder:  Couture Creations Entangle (Reminds me of my machine quilting!)
Spellbinders
Paper:
Stampin' Up!, Staples, Unknown
Ribbon:
WalMart

There you have it in a nutshell!!  Thanks for looking!

Hugs,
Sheree

Nice work Sheree with the Penny Black flower stamps! I like how you added dimension by cutting out and using pop-up on the petals.

I love this! By making the flowers dimensional it just adds a whole new look. Keeping it simple was the perfect choice. Great, great card, and one you could use for so many occassions.

The effect of popping up the flowers is just fabulous! Love the garden-fresh colors and the button accents. Cool embossing, too. I like having those sentiment-free cards on hand to customize to the occasion.
