Good Afternoon Chicks!
I thought I would try something a wee bit different than my usual! I was looking around at challenges and came up with this that can be entered in them.
The base card was cut with the Cricut, Wild Card cartridge at 5 1/2 inches using the Doily cut. The green patterned paper was cut with the Cricut using George at 4 1/2 inches. The white looked kind of bland so I recut the card base using deep pink on the back half of the cut. This was mounted on the inside of the back half of the card. The contrast seen on the front looked waaayyy better this way!
The digi image was from a set that I won over at Quirky Crafts Challenges a few weeks ago. The digis were from The Stamping Boutique. On second thought... this was one of four digis I had to pick from to put something together as a guest designer at Quirky Crafts Challenges. My how my old brain can screw things up! Anyway, I coloured the image with copics and keeping with the circular theme I used my huge scalloped punch to cut it out.
I think the longest part of the whole process was the bow. I tried a bunch of different ribbons using a few different techniques and ended up with a simple one done with the 'Bow Easy'. Not sure if I am happy with it yet but the green matched the patterned paper (IRL).
After adding a bit of baby pink Stickles to the tips of the tulips and adding a wee tag that says Mom and adding a pearl to it, I declared I was done and that's all there is to it! Oh, and I also stitched around the green circle prior to attaching it so you couldn't see the stitches on the inside. It didn't turn out as planned because a single layer of paper, and especially being a circle, isn't fun to try! The paper slid all over!
Here's a close up of it from the side so you can kind of see how I put it together...
So.. Here's the recipe!

Lovely, lovely, lovely.
The scalloped circle is wonderful as are the tulips. Nothing wrong with your bow.
Maybe a little tip I used to use might help with the sewing on odd shapes. Try a wee dab of glue and stick it to either wax paper of just plain paper. Then the paper should rip off. Should work.
