More Tattered Floral!

Good Evening Girlfriends!

I have been playing with the Tattered Florals Die from Tim Holtz.  There was this piece of patterned paper sticking out of the pile and after trimming it down... an idea popped into my head!   Once it was finished I was pleased with how it turned out so am entering it into the Tattered Floral Challenge over at the Tim Holtz blog.

The lighting was horrible but I think you will get the idea!

Here is the inside...

The inside will look like this but.. you get bonus points for noticing that I put everything together going the wrong direction!!

For the flower I took a look around my rubber room and saw the quilt batting, netting, quilting material and some plain cream.  I cut six of each (six at one time) with this awesome die that pretty much cuts through anything!

From the cream coloured material I decided to put some Distress Weathered Wood on my craft mat along with a few sprays of water.  Once they were coloured I scrunched them up and let them dry in a ball.  Once the flower was together I dabbed Distress Stickles in blue on some of the edges.

The star quilting material along with some more of the cream flowers, I frayed the edges.  The netted material kind of frayed itself lol!

I cut the quilt batting and then stamped it with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and sprayed some Gold mist on them.

Here is a side view...

I wish the lighting was better... it really does look neat IRL!

As for the rest of the card...
The dp was from a huge pack of paper I bought at Costco years ago.  ( I actually used it for the plain side originally!
I purchased the ribbon from Fabricland and the twine is from my fave store...Crafty Capers.

There you have it!  Thanks for looking!

The Lawn Ranger

Good Morning!

Just a quick post today...  I received my stamps from Art Impressions and am just loving this one!  My DH is a mechanic that works on landscaping equipment so this will fit perfectly with some of our customers.

The actual 'Lawn Ranger' image and sentiment can be found here.  I purchased a few other hilarious sentiments to go with some stamps of theirs that I already own.  Art Impressions is also the company that has the 'Girlfriends' series of stamps as well!

Art Impressions also has a blog and is gearing up for challenges soon.  They have one running right now and I'll enter this into the current challenge here  It's anything goes but there are bonus points for using an AI image!

The images were coloured with Copics and although you can't see it in these photos, the eye glasses are done with Inka Gold - Silver.  When you tilt the card they really shine!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

All Geared Up!

Good Evening Girlz!

I have been having so much fun playing around with the different Inka Gold colours lately.  I now have red, gold and silver and hope to add more to my stash soon! (Hurry up and order more colours Victoria!..my enabler!)

I used the Gears die by Ranger.  First off I used the Distress Silver Paint and instead of rubbing the paint on I squeeze the bottle and dab it on so it creates a textured surface.

Once the paint dried..only takes a couple of minutes... I used my VersaMark pad and rubbed it on here and there and then dumped on a rough embossing powder put out by Stampendous and then sprinkled on Zing embossing powder in glitter black.

Here is a close up of the embossing...

And a photo from the side..

For the background I used the Gears embossing folder by Sizzix for Tim Holtz.  After embossing the black cardstock I started adding the Inka Gold colours in Silver and Gold.  It dries very quickly and then use a paper towel to buff it up so its shiney.

To finish it off I popped some of the gears up and it was done!

Thanks for looking!
